The next time you enjoy a coffee, drink a coffee with milk (galão) or eat a soup in Mouradia, the headquarters of the Renovar a Mouraria Association, you can help those in need. How? Just order a coffee, a galão, a soup or a sandwich and pay double or triple. These coffees or soups that were paid are displayed in a board so that everyone knows what is available.

The neediest people can consume these foods for free because they are already paid. The idea is not new and appeared in Naples, in southern Italy, but has spread to several countries. It is time for Mouraria to join this cause and those responsible for the association are already contacting other cafes, restaurants and taverns in the neighbourhood to extend this solidarity network.
