Freezing this Winter? Cure it with mulled wine! Where to drink it in Lisbon.

It's common to find in Christmas markets of white Europe, less in the warm winters of its South. We gather for you 8 places where you can taste a good glass of mulled wine in Lisbon.

Portuguese wine lovers say we're spoiling wine and purists say that drinking mulled wine it should be with negative temperatures we have no memory of here in Lisbon. We love wine, and we love hot wine, we don’t care! We also have an ice rink at Praça do Comércio and Lisbon only snowed once or twice!

Our apologizes to purists: it doesn't snow in Lisbon, we don’t suffer from negative temperatures, but that does not mean we cannot enjoy a glass of mulled wine as many times as we feel like. Because we do like it! We are fans of comfort food, the one that warms body and soul, as well as comfort drinks!

Mulled Wine, Glögg (Scandinavia), Grzaniec Galicyjski (Poland), Glühwein (Germany), Vin Chaud (France) or simply Hot Wine has its orgin in the cold lands of Europe, where people add  cloves, cinnamon stick, orange, lemon and sugar to the wine. A delicious combination we would like to see it spreaded everywhere in the warm winter corners of Lisbon. We asked in bars, cafes and wine bars if they could prepare for us mulled wine for us; We got weird expressions and faced awkward moments, and we also found open minded staff and willing to please us.

If you feel like a mulled wine to warm up you in these cold days and you're in Lisbon, we don't have to face all that work. We found these 8 places in town which already have offer mulled wine in their drink menus:
